I’m excited to host an open house this Sunday at a beautiful house in Hamilton! This house sits on nearly 1.5 acres, with plenty of trees and privacy. It’s just around the corner from the park and ride lot or Route 7, though, so commuting is easy! Enjoy country living with city convenience! Full details are here.
Brookmeade is a condominium complex that is well loved by its residents. It’s located in the town of Leesburg, off Gateway Drive and Harrison Street. That puts it in easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants in the southeast east portion of Catoctin Circle, between Market Street and King Street. Attractions include the weekly farmers market at the Virginia Village shopping center.
Brookmeade has three floors, and the units are two and three bedroom condos. Each unit is one level. Units often come up for sale and rent. The complex is dog friendly, too.
People love living in Brookmeade! Residents speak highly of the great location. They love being close to downtown Leesburg for fun, and close to the toll road and Route 7 for commuting to work. Residents also enjoy the clean condo common grounds, and the beautiful pool.

This Saturday from 1-4pm I’ll be holding an open house at another great house for sale. This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath house in Belmont Greene has been recently renovated and is gorgeous! The area schools are top notch, too (Belmont Station Elementary, Trailside Middle, Stone Bridge High). Please visit if this house is a good fit for you, or share with someone in the market!
Northern Virginia towns offer so much to residents, and two of the many offerings in Leesburg are the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden and the Community Garden! I enjoyed a visit to both locations this past Friday evening.
The Demo Garden and Community Garden are located next to each other in Ida Lee Park. This is just north of downtown, and walking distance to the following neighborhoods: Andover Meadow, Exeter, Exeter Hills, Leesburg Historic District, Manors of Leesburg, Paxton, Peer Manor, and Warren Hill.
The Demo Garden is maintained by Loudoun County Master Gardeners, and it’s a beautiful garden to visit! The garden contains several sections, each with a different emphasis. Since I was visiting with my son, we appreciated the children’s garden.
The Community Garden offers plots for rent to residents, allowing those who may not have garden space at home an opportunity to grow! I really enjoyed seeing how each gardener was given essentially the same space, but made his or her own choices and each space was unique!

Here’s a great article detailing one company’s position that September or October is the best time to list one’s house in the D.C. Metro area. Zillow disagrees and says spring is the best time. Read both viewpoints in the article, and let me know what you think!
